Perched across three peaks of the Beho Beho Hills in the distant wilderness of Selous Game Reserve lies the intimate charm of Sable Mountain Lodge.

Selous Game Reserve, located in southern Tanzania, it is home to the largest populations of some of Africa's most sought after game, including elephant, lion, wild dog, leopard, buffalo, hippo and crocodile, yet it remains one of the least visited of the great game sanctuaries on the continent.

Sable Mountain Lodge consists of just 12 rooms offering a choice of stone cottages and luxury tented accommodation. Safaris from the lodge seldom encounter other vehicles in the beautiful and remote North - West of Selous. Personalised game drives, foot safaris, night drives and an incredible boat safari on Lake Tagalala are all available from the lodge.

ROOM & SUITE TYPES:

There are 8 Stone Cottages at Sable Mountain Lodge. Each cottage provides spacious and stylish accommodation with full en-suite facilities, 24 hour solar lighting, a spring water supply and wonderful views over the forest from a private verandah. There are also 4 beautiful tented bandas, two of which are honeymoon bandas and are designed to provide the ultimate romantic bush experience.

FOOD & WINE:

The open air restaurant serves international cuisine, and has a well stocked 'Cup and Bucket' bar, the perfect setting to unwind before dinner. A solar fridge ensures that drinks are long and cool.
