The Kruger National Park and surrounding private games reserves offer without question some of the finest birding in Southern Africa, with over 500 species (some that are found nowhere else). In general birding in the park is spectacular but the Pafuri region in the far north as well the lower Sabie and Sabi Sand reserve in the South are two stand-out areas.
