7 DAY - ZAMBEZI WILDERNESS SAFARI

	Departure: Every Saturday from Lusaka (or daily on request)
	Duration: 7-Days / 6-Nights (Ends: Fridays in Lusaka at +-11h00)

	This Safari can be combined with the 7 day Okavango Safari (camping) or The Livingstone Safari (Luxury tented safari)
	SAFARI HIGHLIGHTS:
	The Zambezi Wilderness Safari a Zambezi River Lodge Safari, the Lower Zambezi National Park is the most recent of Zambia's National Parks and was for many years a forgotten wilderness. It lies along the northern banks of the Zambezi River in the Lower Zambezi National Park. The waters of the Zambezi are a focal point for the wildlife, which includes elephant, hippo, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard, various antelope species, baboon and vervet monkey, together with a great variety of birds. Enjoy Game viewing by boat and vehicle in the Lower Zambezi National Park.

DAY 1: LUSAKA TO KIUBO RIVER LODGE (ZAMBIA) "THE PLACE OF THE EBONY TREE"

ť We fly from Lusaka to Royal airstrip where we are met by a Kiubo staff member and transferred to the lodge
ť (Dinner)

DAYS 2/3: KIUBO RIVER LODGE - 'THE PLACE OF THE EBONY TREE'

ť The lodge is situated on the northern banks of the Zambezi River under a canopy of magnificent African Ebony and Tamarind trees. Activities include game viewing and sunset cruises on the Zambezi River and canoeing
ť We have sufficient time to unwind, and relax near the pool or the verandah of our permanent tents overlooking the river and observing the wildlife
ť (All meals)

DAYS 4/5/6: KULEFU GAME LODGE - 'THE FAR AWAY PLACE' - LOWER ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARK

ť The lodge is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River near the Chakwenga River confluence and dappled by splendid Acacia Albida and Acacia Robusta trees
ť The area is remote and we are surrounded by a wildlife population of hippo, buffalo, waterbuck, lion, leopard, hyena, impala, zebra and numerous species of birds
ť We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives in the Park (May to December) as well as game viewing cruises
ť (All meals)

DAY 7: KULEFU GAME LODGE TO LUSAKA

ť After breakfast we travel through the Park to Jeki airstrip by vehicle where we board our light aircraft for the flight to Lusaka
ť (Breakfast)

INCLUDES:
ť Accommodation: 6 Nights in comfortable, spacious twin bedded tented rooms on raised wooden platforms with en-suite facilities and verandas. Dining room and bar under thatch or canvas.
ť Dining Inclusions: All meals are provided. Please note that the main meal is served in the evening.
ť Group Size: 2-16 Participants
ť Flights: Charter flights from Lusaka daily on request (April - Dec). Baggage limit of 12kg soft barrel bags. US$ 5.00 local airport tax payable at Lusaka Airport
ť Transfers: Air/road transfers between Lusaka and the Lower Zambezi are included. Road and river transfers from Lusaka and Kariba are available on request.
ť Activities: Game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and by boat, canoeing, birdwatching, stargazing (May-December) and walks
ť Plus: All activities, game drives, park fees, air/road transfers from/to Lusaka to/from the Lower Zambezi
EXCLUDES:
ť Lunches on days 1 and 7, drinks, gratuities, visas and airport tax

ť To Kiubo River Lodge is +-30 minutes flight from Lusaka. The lodge is a short drive from the landing strip in the Lower Zambezi
ť Location: Kiubo River Lodge is on the banks of the Zambezi River in Game Management Area opposite Mana Pools National Park
ť Location: Kulefu Game Lodges on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Lower Zambezi National Park
ť This is essentially a tailor-made safari. The itenerary will depend on local conditions.
