» Nothing can compare to experiencing the incredible natural beauty of Ngala Private Game Reserve on foot
» Each day, enjoy a three to five-hour morning walk tracking rhino, elephant bulls and buffalo herds, as well as learning how to identify tracks, insects and a variety of birds. Discover more about Ngala's habitats and ecology as you walk through the African bushveld
» In the evening, guests may choose to enjoy a pre-sunset walk or to embark on an exhilarating night game-drive searching for Ngala's big cats
» Delicious bush cuisine around the campfire, superlative service and expert rangers and trackers provide the high standards
» Exceptional game viewing: Whether observing a herd of elephants from a safe distance, tracking rhino or examining spiders, ant lions and dung beetles, the excitement is never far off

» Safety is our highest priority: the rangers undergo intensive specialised instruction at our Inkwazi Ranger Training School at Phinda Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and each Walking Safari begins with a comprehensive briefing on how to behave when encountering animals on foot
» An armed ranger and experienced tracker accompany guests throughout
DAY 1: ORIENTATION
» Guests are transferred to the camp at 2pm
» After an orientation and briefing, they enjoy a 1 to 1 ½ hour walk before an evening game-drive, returning for a hearty al fresco dinner
DAYS 2,3: KRUGER PARK / NGALA
» An early start for a 4 to 5-hour walk (geared to guests' ability, desires and to the wildlife encountered)
» Your ranger will regale you with tales of the folklore of the area, with the medicinal uses of various plants and trees, and will interpret the wilderness through which you walk
» Guest safety is paramount - both the ranger and tracker are armed, carry a First Aid kit, and are in constant radio contact with base camp
» Guests return to camp between 9 and 10am, for a delicious brunch of fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurt, and bacon, egg and sausage
» A siesta follows
» After a generous high tea, an afternoon game-drive takes guests to the starting point for their next walk - a scenic 1 to 1 ½ hour stroll through a scenic location
» A game-drive ends back at camp in time for an al fresco feast under the stars, served by the camp hostess and assistant
» A hot shower precedes a blissful sleep in a five-star tent with comfortable beds, hot bucket shower and flush W.C.
DAY 4: DEPARTURE
» A short 1 to ½ hour stroll generates a good appetite for a hearty brunch
» At 11pm guests are transferred to their departure point

» Children over 12 are welcome
» Guests who are between the ages of 65 and 70 years, and who are fit and healthy, can book the safari as long as we have a copy of a medical certificate. Maximum age accepted is 65 years
» A minimum of one guest and maximum of eight guests
» This safari brings you very close to animals. This is not a safari for the faint of heart and requires a more adventurous spirit
