DAY 1: UPINGTON SOUTH AFRICA
» Departing from Johannesburg or Cape Town we make our way to Upington and camp on the banks of the Orange River

DAY 2: FISH RIVER CANYON NAMIBIA
» Namibia is a place of breathtaking natural beauty
» Our journey takes us to the mighty Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world!
» Evening to be spent at a campsite near the Canyon

DAY 3: AUS NAMIBIA
» Departing the Canyon, we make our way to Aus
» We set up camp at Klein Aus, a farm set amongst the rocky hills and explore the area on foot
» We spend the afternoon on an excursion to find the wild ‘desert horses’

DAYS 4,5: SESRIEM NAMIBIA
» An early rise as we depart from Aus and head for Sesriem, situated on edge of the vast Namib desert
» Our time is spent visiting the sesriem canyon and the world famous dunes of Sossusvlei
» Sunset over the dunes is an unforgettable experience

DAYS 6,7: SWAKOPMUND NAMIBIA
» We journey through the Namib-Naukluft Park to Swakopmund
» In this desert oasis town our time is spent relaxing on the beach and enjoying the various adrenaline activities that the area has to offer

DAY 8: CHEETAH FARM NAMIBIA
» We head inland to our overnight stop at the cheetah farm where we enjoy close encounters with these endangered felines

DAYS 9,10: ETOSHA NAMIBIA
» Centered on the Etosha Pan, this spectacular Park is home to large populations of animals and birds
» Our days are spent game viewing, while the evenings are spent relaxing around the campfire or spotting game at the floodlit waterhole's on the edge of the camp

DAY 11: WINDHOEK NAMIBIA
» We head south to the capital city of Windhoek, where you can buy crafts and artifacts from the San and Herero people

DAY 12: GHANZI BOTSWANA
» Crossing into Botswana we arrive in the town of Ghanzi, an area well known for the San and Bushman people
» These bushman are the oldest hunting and gathering society known to man
» Today there are less than 100,000 San left in Southern Africa
» The Kuru Cultural Centre was founded in 1991 to work alongside the Kuru Art Project for the preservation and promotion of Bushman culture
» Over the past years, the centre has proven to culturally empower the San people in the region
» The Cultural Centre has activities including the traditional Bushman Dance Festival
» Our time is spent gaining insight into the lives of these unique people
» We overnight in the D'Kar village camp

DAYS 13,14,15,16 : OKAVANGO DELTA BOTSWANA
» After a truly memorable experience, we head to Maun, the gateway of the Okavango Delta
» We spend the evening in Maun before heading into the Delta the following day
» Aided by local guides, our time is spent exploring the pristine wilderness of the Delta in Mokoros (dug out Canoes) and exploring the area on foot
» We set up camp on an island in the Delta and enjoy the tranquil African bush
» On the last day we return to Maun

DAY 17: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK BOTSWANA
» We camp on the banks of the Chobe River
» Time is spent relaxing or enjoying an optional river cruise

DAYS 18,19: LIVINGSTONE (VICTORIA FALLS) ZAMBIA
» An early rise as we venture out on an open vehicle game drive into the Chobe National Park
» Crossing into Zambia by ferry, we set up camp in Livingstone and head out on a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi- a marvelous introduction to the splendor of this mighty river
» Our time is spent exploring the Victoria Falls and taking part in the many optional adrenaline activities that this area is famous for

DAY 20: LIVINGSTONE ZAMBIA
» As Livingstone is the adrenaline capital of Africa, we have the final opportunity to take part in some of these exciting activities on offer
» Evening spent camping on the banks of the Zambezi

DAYS 21,22,23: SOUTH LUANGWA NAT. PARK OR KARIBA ZAMBIA
» Kindly note that this part of the trip varies according to seasonal changes
» Rainy Season: We depart from Livingstone and head for the western shores of Lake Kariba, our base for the next few evenings
» Kariba is one of the largest man made Lakes in the world and offers a wide diversity of Flora, Fauna and varied bird life
» Here we have the option of spending our time aboard a houseboat on Kariba or simply relaxing at our campsite taking part in the local activities on offer
» (Breakfast only on day 21 if on optional activities and Breakfast Lunch and Dinner if not taking part in optional activities)
» Dry Season: We depart Livingstone and make our way north via the capital of Lusaka, before moving along the Great East Road to our overnight camp on the Banks of the Luangwa River
» The following day, we head for the South Luangwa National Park and camp on the perimeter of the Park
» We then have the opportunity to explore this magnificent Park on open vehicle day and night drives as well as game walks
» (Breakfast only on day 21 if on optional activities and Breakfast Lunch and Dinner if not taking part in optional activities)
DAY 24: LILONGWE MALAWI
» Today we make our way into Malawi, the ‘Warm Heart of Africa’.
» We travel to the Capital City of Lilongwe where we overnight
» (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
DAYS 25,26,27,28: LAKE MALAWI MALAWI
» Today we depart Lilongwe and head for the shores of Lake Malawi
» The next four days will be spent exploring the western lakeshores taking part in the various water sport activities from the beachside campsites or simply enjoying the local Malawian culture
» We travel further along the northern part of the Lake towards the Livingstonia Mountains, an area well known for great hikes and exploring the nearby craft markets

DAY 29: IRINGA TANZANIA
» After a truly relaxing couple of days, we head for Karonga and into Tanzania
» We ascend out of the Great Rift Valley through some spectacular mountain passes and travel along the highland Tea plantations en route to our camp at Iringa

DAY 30: MIKUMI EN ROUTE TO DAR ES SALAAM TANZANIA
» Our journey takes us through the Mikumi National Park where we have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife along the way
» We travel through an area known as Baobab Valley en route to the historical port city of Dar es Salaam
» (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
DAYS 31,32,33: ZANZIBAR
» We take a ferry from Dar es Salaam to the “Spice Island” of Zanzibar
» Our days are spent exploring the Island, spending time relaxing on the sandy beaches, visiting the local villages and enjoying the mystique and history of this legendary Island
» A spice tour, Stone Town with its Arabic influence and architecture and the Slave pits are all experiences not to be missed

DAY 34: PANGANI TANZANIA
» Today we depart the "Spice Island" of Zanzibar and take a ferry returning to Dar es Salaam
» We then depart from Dar and travel towards Pangani for an overnight stop

DAY 35: ARUSHA TANZANIA
» From Pangani we travel inland on a scenic route that passes via the Pare and Usambara Mountain ranges
» It is along this route that we might catch a glimpse of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa (weather permitting)
» We visit the Meserani Snake Park and a Masai Museum
» Arusha is the Safari Capital of Tanzania and it is here that we make preparations for a Safari Experience of a lifetime
» Evening to be spent camping in Arusha

DAYS 36,37,38: SERENGETI/NGORONGORO TANZANIA
» Our time is spent taking part in the various optional Safari activities that the world famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater has to offer
» These Parks offer some of the best game viewing in Africa and will certainly be an experience of a lifetime
» All excursions are conducted in vehicles specifically designed for Safaris and allow for the best photographic opportunities
» It is more than just a game viewing experience as we also witness the traditional Masai herdsman, herding their livestock amongst the wild game
» Truly, an adventure never to be forgotten!
» Clients not wanting to participate in the Safari activities have ample opportunity to take in the local culture and other activities in and around Arusha

DAY 39: ARUSHA TANZANIA
» We depart from the Serengeti and return to Arusha in the late afternoon
» Evening to be spent reminising about our Safari experiences around the camp fire

DAY 40: NAIROBI KENYA
» After catching our final glimpse of Kilimanjaro we cross the border into Kenya and travel to Nairobi
» We spend the last evening at a local restaurant bidding our fellow travelers farewell
