Okavango Delta, which in the midst of the Kalahari sands, is Africa`s largest and most awe-inspiring oasis. Experiencing the sunset across the Xugana lagoon, as viewed from the front of the lodge or from a boat adrift the lagoon will leave memories which will be etched in your mind forever. Situated in the Eastern Caprivi of Namibia, on a peninsula on the northern bank of the Chobe River, Chobe Savanna Lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park's Puku Flats. Rates: On request as this safari is Tailor - made Currency Converter  Days 1-2: Makgadikgadi Pans » A representative will be waiting to assist you onto your scheduled transfer to the magic of Leroo La Tau- a unique experience totally different to any other area in Botswana. » Leroo La Tau accommodates 24 guests in luxurious en-suite chalets, on individual raised wooden platforms. » The main lounge and dining room area with its inviting wooden and thatch finishes, offers guests the opportunity to sit back and relax at the bar while listening to the wide variety of night sounds so characteristic of the African bush. » Alternatively you can lounge around the pool while appreciating the herds of zebra and wildebeest which are often seen around the lodge grounds and the waterhole. » Evenings can be spent alongside the fireplace which also overlooks the dry riverbed and the waterhole in front of the lodge. » The lodge offers both day and night drives. Days 3-4: Okavango Delta » Early morning game activity followed by breakfast before transfer from Leroo La Tau to Xugana Island Lodge, Okavango Delta. On arrival you will be welcomed by the lodge managers and time to freshen up. Xugana Island Lodge will be your base for the next two nights. » The lodge accommodates just 16 guests in large raised reed and thatch lagoon facing chalets, with en-suite facilities and private viewing decks situated on the shaded fringe of the island. » Exploring the Delta by motorboat or canoe (mokoro), combined with walking on surrounding islands in the concession, gives guests the chance to experience a classic Okavango Delta safari. » Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered as an activity at the lodge. Days 5-6: Chobe National Park » After game activity and breakfast you will depart on scheduled transfer from Xugana Island Lodge to Kasane from where you go on road transfer, followed by boat transfer to Chobe Savanna Lodge. » Chobe Savanna Lodge is relaxed and informal, set in a classic African Savanna environment with sweeping vistas surrounding the lodge. » The focal point of the lodge is a thatched open sided main building which features a 270 degree view over the Chobe River and beyond to the Chobe National Park. » Chobe Savanna Lodge accommodates only 24 guests in elegantly furnished thatched chalets, all with private decks, a combined bedroom / lounge area and en-suite facilities. All chalets are air-conditioned and have complimentary mini bars. » Guests have a choice of boat excursions in small maneuverable boats, which are ideal for close up encounters with wildlife along the rivers edge, fishing (catch & release) for bream or tigerfish, and cultural village visits to one of the surrounding local communities, where guests can observe the deep-rooted traditional life styles of the local people. Day 7: Safari Ends, » After breakfast guests will be transferred from Chobe Savanna Lodge to Kasane or Victoria Falls for onward journey.
