Wonders of Kenya SafariSAFARI HIGHLIGHTS:From the open plains of the Masai Mara, the shimmery pink waters of Lake Nakuru, and the swamps of Amboseli, this safari provides the perfect opportunity to spot the Big-5 and to capture some diverse scenery including experiencing a treelodge, where one can enjoy watching the animals gathering at a waterhole from the confort of the confines of the lodge. Departure: Mondays. Duration: 8 Days / 7 Nights. Accommodation: Safari lodges. Group Size: Minimum 2, Maximum 8. Note: Travel insurance is compulsory for all safaris. Rates: This Safari is running on a tailor made basis only. Currency Converter  DAY 1: Nairobi » Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the Nairobi Serena Hotel. » Remainder of the day at leisure. » (Bed and Breakfast) » Nairobi Serena Hotel DAY 2: Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve » Leaving Nairobi after an early breakfast, you'll travel towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. » Look for the charming chapel they built at the foot of the escarpment. » You'll pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the Valley to Narok, and then travel across acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Masai Mara and your lodge in time for lunch. » There will be an afternoon game drive. » (Full board) » Mara Serena Lodge DAY 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve » Early morning and afternoon game drives. » (Full board) » Mara Serena Lodge DAY 4: Lake Nakuru National Park » Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast, you'll travel across the 'breadbasket' of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. » Now travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mau Escarpment, before arriving at Lake Nakuru around midday. » The waters here are often coloured shimmering flamingo pink, from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. » After lunch, depart for an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National Park. » (Full board) » Lake Nakuru Lodge DAY 5: Lake Nakuru Lodge - Mount Kenya » Leave after breakfast and drive towards Mount Kenya arriving at Mountain Lodge for lunch. » This is a tree lodge set in a forest glade with a waterhole that attracts all sorts of wildlife during the day and night. » The waterhole is floodlit and there is an underground viewing platform. » (Full board) » Serena Mountain Lodge DAY 6: Mount Kenya - Amboseli » An early morning start takes you to Nairobi for lunch. After Lunch continue to Amboseli for a game drive enroute to your lodge. » (Full board) » Amboseli Serena Lodge DAY 7: Amboseli National Park » Morning and Afternoon game drives. » (Full board) » Amboseli Serena Lodge DAY 8: Wonders of Kenya Safari ends » After breakfast you'll depart for Nairobi. » You'll arrive into Kenya's bustling capital at midday. » Once in the city, you will be dropped off at a city centre hotel or the airport for your ongoing travel arrangements. Included in this safari; - Meet and greet services - All transport and game drives on road safaris will be in a modern safari cruiser (with seven window seats) with an English speaking driver-guide on shared basis - Meals and accommodation as specified - All park fees and government taxes - ½ litre bottle mineral water per person per day on game drives Excluded from this safari; - Visas and international flights - Airport taxes (clients pay direct) - Driver-guide gratuities - Drinks, dining rooms tips, porterage - Personal travel, baggage and medical insurance - Telephone bill, laundry and any items of a personal nature - Booking Conditions |
