Currency Converter  DAY 1: LOISABA LODGE, LAIKIPIA » Arrive at Loisaba Lodge, located on a 61,000 acre private game ranch, Loisaba Lodge has 7 en-suite rooms with decks overlooking panoramic Laikipia » A beautiful dining and sitting area with activities including swimming pool, tennis court, a spa, day and night game drives, walks, horse riding, camel riding and mountain biking; cultural visits, bush meals, sundowners, rafting & fishing (seasonal), helicopter excursions & quad biking DAYS 2,3: LOISABA STARBEDS - KIBOKO AND / OR KOIJA » After an early walk with a bush breakfast, you will be taken to the Starbeds where your hosts are Samburu Warriors clad in traditional regalia » There are two sets of Starbeds, you will sleep for one night in each. Both are raised wooden platforms with 4 poster beds on wheels that can either be under the stars or the thatched roof, en-suite bathrooms and dining room fully hosted by the Samburu » One is on the banks of the river, one overlooking a water hole DAY 4: SABUK, LAIKIPIA (FLY CAMP WALKING WITH CAMELS) » After an early breakfast the Samburu Warriors prepare their camel train for your 2 ½ hour trek taking you through this stunning terrain up and over gentle hills down to Sabuk lodge » A stunning wilderness destination perched up on the high banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, overlooking the Laikipia Plateau and Samburu land » 5 beautifully furnished open sided en-suite cottages made very tastefully out of the local materials with verandah's and or decks overlooking the river » Activities include day & night game drives, walks, bush meals, sundowners, line fishing, swimming in the river, camel trekking and fly camping » A luxurious retreat, home to the first female safari guide in Kenya, overlooks the wild rocky terrain of the Northern Frontier District » A dip in the swimming pool or for the more adventurous, a cool refreshing dip in the effervescent river right below the lodge is encouraged DAYS 5,6: SABUK, LAIKIPIA - OPTIONAL FLY CAMP WITH CAMELS TREKKING » One of these days will be spent walking and or riding with camels, returning at dusk to a fully hosted fly camp set along the dramatic gorges of the Ewaso Nyiro river » The trek is easy and good for inquisitive family groups wishing to learn more about bush craft and its natural inhabitants » The other day will be spent at the lodge exploring the hills nearby for wildlife on foot, perhaps spending a leisurely afternoon swimming DAY 7: END OF SAFARI » After breakfast transfer to the airstrip to be collected for your onward arrangements The above Kenya Adventure Safari rates are inclusive of: -» Full board at Loisaba Lodge & Sabuk Lodge » Soft drinks, beer, house wine & non- luxury spirits » Game drives in 4x4 vehicles » Guided bush walks » Park entrance fees » Airstrip transfers » Limited laundry at both lodges » Membership to Flying Doctors Society Excludes » Champagne & luxury spirits at both lodges » Any domestic flights » Any activities not included in the itinerary » International flights and visa fees » Gratuities to camp staff » All statutory increases beyond our control » Booking Conditions Please Note » Baggage restriction of 15kgs per person is applicable on all small aircrafts, preferably in soft bags » Loisaba Starbeds & Sabuk Lodge closed in November |
