We have put together a list of + 10 of the most interesting and little known fact on South AFrica. Of course this could have been way long but 10 is enough for now.

1- Table Mountain is one of the oldest mountains in the World – 260 millions years old.
2- South Africa has the longest wine route in the world.
3- The Tugela Falls in Natal is the second highest waterfall in the World.
4- The Kruger National Park supports the largest variety of wildlife species on the African continent.
5- South Africa has the oldest meteor scar in the World, called the Vredefort Dome.
6- Table Mountain offers up over 1500 plant species alone, more than the entire United Kingdom.
7- There are 11 official languages in South Africa.
8- South Africa has deserts, mountains, escarpments, plateaus, grasslands, bush, wetlands and subtropical forests.
9- There are over 2000 shipwrecks off the South African coast, some dating back at least 500 years.
10- South Africa is home to the world’s smallest and largest succulent plants.
11- The sardine run is largest movement of biomass even over the Great Migration.
12- Mohandas Gandhi and Winston Churchill were together on the English side at the Battle of Spioenkop in Natal.
13- The only country in the World to give up her Nuclear weapons cache voluntary.
14- England and South Africa are the only two countries to have hosted the rugby, cricket and soccer world cups.
