ROOM & SUITE TYPES: All rooms are en-suite with panoramic sea and mountain views. Each room is individually appointed with original South African art and decor. All rooms have private balconies or patios. All rooms are en-suite and have Satellite TV's, telephones, email and fax, under floor heating, personalised linen, heated towel rails, tea coffee facilities, mini-bar, overhead fans and electronic safes. FOOD & WINE: balone serves a continental and full English breakfast daily. Breakfast is served in the dining room which has superb sea and mountain views. Weather permitting, meals are served on the sea facing patio. Other meals available on request. FACILITIES: The Lounge at Abalone has a fireplace and superb sea views. Complimentary tea and coffee are available throughout the day, guests are invited for a complimentary drink/ aperitif. Abalone has a swimming pool which is protected from the wind, faces the mountain which allows it afternoon sunshine. (Size is approx 6 x 3) Abalone has a large garden which allows guests the opportunity of relaxing under the large shade trees. ACTIVITIES: Approximately 70 restaurants, 6 bars and 10 coffee shops in Hermanus. Facilities within a 3 km radius: Hermanus CBD with all the accompanying shops including Beauty Parlour, Boutique, Health Spa, Pharmacy, Sauna, curio shops, the cliff path, Fernkloof Nature Reserve, the Old Harbour.
