| Jatinga Country Lodge, located on the outskirts of White River in Mpumalanga and only 38km from the Kruger National Park - has been completely re-vamped and refurbished - all without loosing its original feel. The hotel is nestled amongst over 30 hectares of magnificent rolling green lawns and lush sub-tropical gardens with some of the most impressive river frontage winding its way through the estate. Furnished in Victorian, Colonial and Provencal themes, rooms and suites are all en-suite, offering guests secluded and luxurious comfort. Each of the rooms at Jatinga are an experience in themselves. Jatinga Country Lodge is renown for its charm, tranquillity and fine dining - now luxurious attention to detail can be added to the list. ROOM & SUITE TYPES: There are 16 Superior rooms and four Luxury suites (one being our romantic Honeymoon suite) at the Lodge, all of which have been tastefully furnished in different styles - Colonial, Victorian, Provencal, French Country, African Colonial and English Country as well as the recently completed Orchard and Forest rooms - and offer guests luxurious comfort and secluded privacy. The six new Orchard and Forest rooms form a little village on their own and, as their names suggest, some have a view over the citrus orchard while the others look into the pine forest. While different rooms offer guests different experiences, like outdoor showers, open fire places or ½ ton concrete baths, each offers the same standard of luxurious comfort and space. Private patios are part of the experience with the Luxury suites offering you the added luxury of a separate lounge. Standard room features include: – A well stocked mini bar and snack basket – Tea & Coffee making facilities with fresh home baked biscuits – Limited room service menu – Air conditioner – Satellite TV – Valet and Laundry service – Bath robes – Complimentary amenities – Fresh flowers FOOD & WINE: The culinary team at the Lodge will put together a varied and tempting a la carte menu with your choice of wine from the cellar.. FACILITIES/ACTIVITIES: The secluded pool deck with its inviting pool is there for guests' enjoyment, as are the hammocks dotted around the gardens. The elevated wooden deck overlooks the White River and is a great spot for sundowners. Bird life abounds at Jatinga and a comprehensive bird check list can be found in all our rooms. There are two leisurely walks along the White River for those who wish to explore our grounds a little more. Croquet and French boules are two of the other laid back pursuits that can be enjoyed at the lodge. |
