Perfect for couples, this romantic getaway is famous for Rhino spotting, and is adjacent to the world renowned Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Reserve. Experience the freedom and beauty of the Ubizane Wildlife Reserve on horseback. Saddle up and take an early morning romantic ride or go for an evening relaxing ride through the Ubizane valley. ROOM & SUITE TYPES: Accommodation at Zululand Tree Lodge consists of thatched chalets raised above the floor on stilts, set in the cool tranquility of a fever tree forest. Each of our 24 luxury "Tree Lodges" include an en-suite bathroom with shower, a double bed, a bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and a private balcony with enchanting views into the surrounding forest. All rooms are fitted with ceiling fans and insect nets, and are serviced daily by housekeeping. FOOD & WINE: Meals are served in the Boma, an outdoor, covered dining area that overlooks the fever tree forest and water hole. At night, log fires are lit creating a romantic, bush atmosphere. The pan-African cuisine offers a variety of dishes in buffet style and usually includes a venison dish amongst the choices of meat dishes. The breakfast buffet includes traditional fare as well as an array of locally grown fresh fruits, yoghurts and health cereals. Lunch is an informal meal as most guests are out exploring the wonders of the area. Adjacent to Ubizane Wildlife Reserve is the renowned Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest in Africa, where the big-5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) roam the bush. |
