The park abounds with small game and animals such as grysbok, mongoose, baboons, bushbuck and cape clawless otter as well as several species of snake. Over sixty-five bird species have been noted on the reserve including loerie, herons, falcons, crowned eagles, spotted eagle owls, giant kingfishers, sunbirds and cormorants.
