The park has three natural wetlands plus a large dam filled with bass. The indigenous vegetation consists of fynbos and proteas. The park abounds with small game and animals such as grysbok, mongoose, baboons, bushbuck and cape clawless otter as well as several species of snake. Over sixty-five bird species have been noted on the reserve including loerie, herons, falcons, crowned eagles, spotted eagle owls, giant kingfishers, sunbirds and cormorants. A network of walking paths allows you to explore the area for yourself. |
