| Andries Stockenstrom Guest House, is centrally situated in Graaff Reinet, the fourth oldest town in South Africa. With it's more than 200 national monuments the town has been described as 'a living monument'. To walk the streets of the old town is to take a step into the past. It is surrounded by a nature reserve with the awesome Valley of Desolation the focal point. The guest house is situated in an old manor house erected around 1819 and has five en-suite double rooms, all air-cooled and elegantly furnished. Beatrice produces Karoo haute cuisine. And her four-course menus change regularly to make use of the best and freshest local products. ANDRIES STOCKENSTROM GUEST HOUSE ROOM & SUITE TYPES: The guest house and dining room, located in a manor house built Circa 1819, has six en-suite double rooms all elegantly furnished. All rooms have 100% percale linen and mohair blankets from the region. Mini-Suites: – The Bougainvillea Suite – The Ivy Room – The Garden Room These luxury rooms are all situated around the swimming pool and have their own patios. Veranda Rooms: – The Poppekamer – The Rosekamer – The Rietekamer - the oldest room in the house These rooms are all situated on the veranda of this beautiful old Karoo house, with french doors opening out. While the high-ceilinged and carefully restored dining room is elegant in appearance and classical in appointments, the food pays homage to the most modern tastes.
