Chobe is in a large country of over 800,000 square km, Namibia is larger in size than France and Great Britain combined. Chobe Savanna Lodge has its own atmosphere, rich and colourful African culture, still upholding its traditions, customs and architecture. The Kaprivi, is maturing as a safari destination too and is fast becoming one of Africa's hottest new attractions. Visiting the unique Savanna Lodge is experiencing one of the best vacations in Africa. Savanna lodge is starting to draw adventurers looking for an African experience with a difference. ROOM & SUITE TYPES: All rooms at Savanna Lodge are furnished in subtle earth tones and dark woods in a contemporary African theme, air conditioning and have complimentary mini bars. Your luxurious vacation facilities include a swimming pool and an open boma area (place of eating), on the banks of the Chobe River, where guests are treated to panoramic views and traditional dancing performed by local villagers. FACILITIES/ACTIVITIES: Game viewing by boat as well as sunset cruises on the Chobe River, ideal for close up encounters with wildlife along the rivers edge. Savanna allows seasonal nature walks and guided canoeing along the river as well as a cultural excursion to one of the surrounding local communities, where Savanna guests can observe traditional life styles of the Namibian people. Once arrived in the village, guests are handed over to one of the villagers who conducts the tour of the willage. He or she generally shows around the village and cattle kraal.
