ROOM & SUITE TYPES: All the luxury double rooms and suites are sea-facing and have air-conditioning, satellite TV, radio and telephone. The Luderitz Nest Hotel offers 62 twin rooms, 8 double rooms and 3 suites. All are sea-facing and luxuriously appointed. FOOD & WINE: The well-known Penguin Restaurant (A La Carte and Buffet) serves International Cuisine with emphasis on fresh seafood, especially line fish, lobsters, oysters and mussels. Take a day trip to Diaz Point, to the 55 m Bogenfels Rock Arch and the forsaken mining town of Pomona afterwards. Or - weather permitting - take a trip with the nostalgic 'Sedina' sailing boat to the Halifax Island, which still hosts more than 1200 Jackass Penguins. Dolphins and Seals, as well as the odd Southern Right Whale in season can often be spotted on these trips. See the spectacular wild horses of the Namib Desert near Aus.
