 Little Governors safariSAFARI HIGHLIGHTS:For some, it is the crossroads in their lives, an emotional rebirth, a lightening of the spirit at the sight of so many animals and so much space. Governors opened Kenya's first exclusive safari camp in the early 1970s and today it still upholds the best-kept traditions. This safari is small and exclusive, where days are spent on game drives, gentle guided walks and boating in the Rift Valley. Expect the guides to be excellent, food delightful and accommodation very comfortable.

DAY 1: Lake Naivasha » When you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met and driven through the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley down to Loldia House, nestling on the shores of Lake Naivasha. » A two hour drive from Nairobi. Enjoy a delicious lunch on the lawn overlooking Mt Longonot. » Afternoon at leisure on the farm, with the option of a late afternoon walk with Loldia's resident naturalist or a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, witnessing the prolific variety of bird-life on the lake and the lake shore. » Dinner in the traditional dinning room hosted by Peter and overnight Loldia House. » (Half board) » Loldia House DAY 2: Lake Naivasha » Early breakfast before departing to Lake Nakuru National Park. » Morning game drive around Lake Nakuru, famous for its abundance of flamingos and large variety of water birds. » ake Nakuru is also one of Kenya's Rhino Sanctuaries and large numbers of Rhinos are regularly seen, along with good sightings of Leopard. » Lunch is served under the Acacia trees overlooking the lake. » Returning to Loldia in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Loldia House. » (Full board) » Loldia House DAY 3: Masai Mara National Reserve » Breakfast served on the lawns of Loldia House. After breakfast, there is the opportunity to take a boat ride or an exciting bird walk along the lakeshore with our resident naturalist. » Lunch is served at 12.30 At 14.45 you will be transferred to the Loldia airstrip to catch the direct Safari link flight direct to the Mara. » Arriving at the Governors' airstrip at approximately 4:00pm. You will enjoy a short game drive en route to the camp. » Pre dinner drinks around the campfire, a candlelit dinner in the dining tent and overnight at Governors' Camp. » (Full board) » Little Governors' Camp DAY 4: Masai Mara National Reserve » Depart the camp at 5.15am to the Balloon Safari take off site at Little Governors' (optional). » A fabulous I hour Hot Air Balloon safari across the plains of the Masai Mara. » On landing enjoy a champagne bush breakfast, freshly cooked in the middle of the Mara plains. » Game drive back to camp. » Spend the morning relaxing before lunch at the camp, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at Governors Camp. » (Full board) » Little Governors' Camp DAY 5: Masai Mara National Reserve » Early morning game drive at dawn, returning to the Camp for breakfast. » A 10:30am game drive, returning to the camp for lunch. » A 3:30pm game drive returning to camp before sundown. » Optional extras available from Governors' Camps in addition to the three daily game drives, are:- Guided Big Game walking safaris with one of the Camps' resident professional guides, followed by a full cooked champagne bush breakfast. Afternoon walking safaris with sundowners are also available. Exciting flying safaris to Lake Victoria for fishing and bird watching at Mfangano Island Camp can also be arranged. » (Full board) » Little Governors' Camp DAY 6: Governors fly-in safari ends » Early morning game-drive at sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp. » Late morning game drive, and a delicious lunch back at the camp. » After lunch transfer to the airstrip to catch the scheduled flight departing at 4:00pm for Nairobi. » Arriving at Wilson Airport at 5.00pm. A highly recommended add on; A 4 day Rwanda Safari, with Gorilla trekking permits (one on each day), visits to Ruhengeri, or any of the nearby lakes, the Genocide memorials and any community projects.
