Kruger Park lodges

The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.

The Kruger Park was established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this national park of nearly 2 million hectares. The Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals.

The best time to view Kruger wildlife is during the winter months of April to September, as water is restricted to rivers and waterhole's, visibility is also good as the vegetation is less dense. Summer from October to March is often hot and humid due to the rains, birding is excellent and wildlife viewing is good in the early morning and late afternoon. November and December are the calving month.
